Education Qualification

CTET Primary Level (Class I to V): CTET 2023 Dec Notification

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education 

OR
2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms 

OR
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) 

OR
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): CTET 2023 Dec Notification

1. Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). 

OR
2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). 

OR
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms 

OR
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). 

OR
5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. 

OR
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

7. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed

As per CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria, aspirants who have completed post-graduation (in any discipline) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade along with a 3-year integrated B. Ed – M. Ed can appear for CTET Exam Paper 1 and Paper 2.

What is the correction window for CTET 2024?

CTET form can be correted till December 4 to 8, 2023. CBSE has released CTET application correction link 2024 on the official website – ctet.nic.in.

Is CTET exam 2024 online or offline?

The CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) January 2024 examination is scheduled for January 21, 2024. This exam follows an offline format, conducted in pen and paper mode. The single-day examination comprises two shifts: Paper 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Paper 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is the last date for CTET 2024?

Candidates who are interested and have not yet submitted their application forms can visit the official website at ctet.nic.in to complete the application process. The deadline for CTET 2024 registration has been extended to December 1. Previously, the last date for CTET registration was November 27.
